A new Disney Store at Cheshire Oaks has all but been confirmed after Disney advertised for a Store Manager at the Ellesmere Port shopping destination.

Further vacancies for Cast Members have appeared on Disney Careers, with the listing explicitly referring to “our new store at Cheshire Oaks”. Disney has yet to make a formal announcement or reveal an opening date, but recruiting an entire team leaves very little room for doubt.

The news follows the opening of new Disney Store concessions inside Selfridges in Birmingham and Manchester Trafford, suggesting Disney may once again see a future for physical retail across the UK. Cheshire Oaks appears to be particularly significant because it would be a dedicated Disney Store rather than another department-store concession.

One opening does not confirm a nationwide comeback, but three new locations in a matter of months certainly feels less like a one-off experiment and more like the beginning of a carefully considered return.

Could more Disney Stores be on the way? For the first time in several years, the answer may genuinely be yes.
